European Union to extend investment plan until 2022 to boost growth
“Brits voted to leave the European Union in a referendum in June, but the government has since failed to reveal any details about how it plans to reshape relations with its most important trading partner”. “The Lisbon Treaty enables those Member States who wish, to pool their defense capabilities in the form of a permanent structured cooperation”.

Juncker’s speech comes two days before the 27 European Union leaders meet for a summit without Britain in Bratislava aiming to draw up a future roadmap after Britain’s decision to quit the EU.
But many pro-Brexit politicians in the United Kingdom have insisted that migration from the European Union must be more tightly controlled once the country has left the group.
PRS for Music CEO Robert Ashcroft (pictured) said: “PRS for Music welcomes the Commission’s recognition of the critical “transfer of value” issue and we acknowledge the clear intention to redress the current imbalance of interests between user upload platforms and rightsholders”. “Indeed it was the usual recipe – more Europe, in this particular case, more military Europe”. Slovakia and others have refused to take part.
The EU executive will also present a draft law on business restructuring that it said would allow “honest entrepreneurs to benefit from a second chance after overcoming bankruptcy”.
“Europe can no longer afford to piggy-back on the military might of others or let France alone defend its honor in Mali”, Juncker told members of the European parliament.
“We have to stop this war according to which all success is national and all failure is European”, Juncker said.
Juncker called for more European Union action when it comes to common defense, dealing with external borders, climate action and commercial enterprise.
Juncker did announce a new push on investment and job creation, extending a plan for a further three years and aiming to generate 630 billion euros ($707 billion) worth of public and private investment by 2022.
Britain still has to officially trigger the exit negotiations to become the first member state to walk away from Europe’s biggest unity project.
“There can be no a la carte access to the single market”, he said of British hopes to cut immigration and keep free trade. Juncker said, “we would be happy if the request for Brexit could happen as quickly as possible so that we could take the specific steps which need to happen”. But the European Union is determined to speed the process after Britain’s June vote to leave the European Union removed a major opponent of greater centralization of markets supervision.
