A woman who said she was “drugged, raped and sodomized” by former Detroit Tigers pitcher Evan Reed said she opposes the plea deal that ended a rape case.

The two third-degree sexual assault charges were dropped and Reed pleaded “no contest” to a misdemeanor count of aggravated assault for which he received a year of probation Friday.

The 29-year-old didnt comment at Fridays hearing in Detroit, where he was ordered to perform 120 hours of community service and pay $4,480 in restitution.

Reed appeared in court for the sentencing Friday morning in Detroit.

He is accused of having sex with a woman at a Detroit hotel before Opening Day past year.

Reed admitted, as is seen in a security video shown in court, that he helped carry the woman inside the casino – but he insisted they had consensual sex.

King pointed out that the woman had lied about little things, like claiming she hadn’t known Reed was a Tiger – when a text to a friend showed that she did.

Wayne County assistant prosecuting attorney Suzette Samuels said in the hearing that the woman never gave “conflicting or varying accounts”, and that it was a case of “unbridled arrogance” on Reed’s part.

There was no rape kit evidence or evidence of semen from the scene presented by prosecutors.

“An act of violence has been committed by Evan Reed”, she said.

The woman also objected to what she called unfair media coverage.

Prosecutors appealed King’s decision, and a higher court reinstated the charges.

“I have been painted as a sleazy, money-hungry cougar that is making up this story”, she said. Four days later, Criminal Division Judge Michael Callahan reversed King’s ruling and remanded the case back to 36th District Court.
