Even after the update, Pokemon Go still collects info from your phone
It is worth noticing that the Pokemon Go always requires your camera to be turned on because it is an augmented-reality game.

The mobile app uses your phone’s Global Positioning System to determine where you are and then a Pokémon appears on your phone screen, which you can capture.
On Tuesday, Senator Al Franken of Minnesota sent a letter to Niantic Inc, the company responsible for Pokémon Go, issuing a list of requests regarding information on the wildly popular app’s rather dubious privacy settings. Instead, the game will ask to see the player’s basic data and their e-mail addresses.
He said: “Within days of your product launching, there have been numerous accounts of children being placed in unsafe situations because of the geo-location feature – in one instance it is reported that armed robbers lured teenagers to a particular spot using your game and in another that players are taken to a sex shop”. To access the augmented-reality game, United Kingdom users have so far had to twiddle their iPhone or Android settings. In Missouri, police arrested teenagers who were using the game to lure users to locations and rob them.
He also said to stay away from someone else’s private property if you don’t have permission to be there.
People the world over have been playing Pokemon Go, as clearly evidenced by the numbers the game is raking up.
“We have one incident so far where a couple trespassed at a local business that a deputy was already working at the business for extra duty”.
“(If you are) able to enjoy your childhood again by just downloading the app, why not give it a try?” he said.
For the update’s other improvements, iOS players of “Pokemon GO” do not need to enter their login credentials for the second time when they are forced out of their accounts. He also noted that people should try to limit their searching at night.

So if your false alarm rates have been unusually high the past few days, and you’re getting complaints from customers about the high number of notifications they are getting from their security systems, just blame it on the Pokemon.
