Even Jill Stein is spending more on advertising than Donald Trump

“We will defeat radical Islamic terrorism just as we have defeated every threat we’ve faced at every age and before”, Mr. Trump said, blaming his Democratic rival, Hillary Clinton, the former secretary of state, and President Barack Obama for aiding the rise of Islamic State.

Clinton has the support of 50 percent of voters and Trump is backed by 41 percent, which closely mirrors last week’s result in the same survey conducted by the NBC News and the Survey Monkey Weekly Election Tracking Poll.

The number of likely voters who picked neither Clinton nor Trump in the poll was almost 24 per cent.

Trump also sought to galvanize the African-American community into supporting him by touting his hardline stance on illegal immigration and arguing that Clinton’s policies to give some undocumented immigrants legal status in the US would take away jobs from low-income African-Americans.

Trump also took a shot at Clinton, arguing that she “lacks the judgment. stability and temperament and moral character to lead our nation”. Clinton leads Trump among independents by 47% to 30%, with 11% supporting Johnson and 2% backing Stein.

While Democrats have long had an advantage among African-American voters, GOP nominee Donald Trump is gaining little support among blacks.

Turning to the U.S. Senate race, Marco Rubio now leads two Democratic members of Congress who are vying to challenge him, although by varying degrees of comfort. The candidate held a rally in Green Bay on August 5. Clinton’s unfavorability is at 59 percent, Trump’s is at 64 percent. Rubio’s Democratic opponents are not as well known.

“We should only admit into this country those that share our values and respect our people”, said Trump.

Tim Kaine will be in Fayetteville, North Carolina where he is expected to speak on the economy.

During his speech, the president said the election season was unpredictable and referenced numerous anxieties and concerns that Americans have. In February 2011, Trump said in a video filmed in his office: “Gaddafi in Libya is killing thousands of people”. He’s also raised a crucial question: Is the Trump campaign about the man or the message? In the Senate race, though, 25% say the endorsement actually makes them less likely to vote for Rubio while just 9% say it makes them more likely.

In addition to Trump’s adoption of major fundraising in recent months and now TV advertising, he has also appeared more like a traditional candidate on the campaign trail this week. Conversely, since the 1964 election, only once has a Democrat won the white vote. The margin of error is +/- 4 points for the sample of 888 registered voters, and the margin is +/- 4.5 points for the sample of 707 likely voters.
