MOUSSA SISSOKO has delivered by a parting snub to Newcastle United by expressing his pleasure at being able to play for a “big club” following his deadline-day move to Tottenham.

Tottenham Hotspur had been hoping to sign Sissoko on deadline day, but were put off by Newcastle’s £30 million valuation of the France worldwide.
Everton manager Ronald Koeman was keen to bring Sissoko to Goodison Park, agreeing a club-record £30m fee for the France worldwide with Sky Bet Championship side Newcastle. However an hour later Sissoko’s preferred destination, Tottenham Hotspur swooped in and matched Everton’s bid, sealing the deal for the French global and give McCarthy a lifeline to resurrect his Toffee career.
“Sissoko is a great player”, the club’s majority shareholder, Farhad Moshiri, said in a statement sent to Sky Sports’ Jim White.
Lloris said: “I know him very well, we have been together with the national team for a while”.
Earlier, Tottenham signed Olympique de Marseille forward Georges-Kevin Nkoudou on a five-year deal, with Clinton N’Jie going the other way on a season-long loan.
It will be interesting to see if Sissoko plays regularly for the Tottenham first team.
Tottenham Hotspur have sealed a last-minute transfer deal for Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko, according to reports from London Evening Standard. But when I bought into Everton, I made it clear I was proud to join a family.
“Hopefully he’ll be good but on the form of last season that seems a lot of money to me”.

Tottenham still have two hours to confirm the processing of documents before they can announce the transfer formallly, although since personal terms and a fee has been agreed, the transfer should go through.
