Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is weighing up a move for Porto’s Yacine Brahimi after missing out on Leicester’s Riyad Mahrez.

Brahimi has scored 21 goals in 85 appearances for Porto since making his debut for the Primeira Liga outfit back in 2014 but the 26-year-old is now being linked with the Gunners.

However, Sky sources understand convincing the player to make the move to Goodison Park is proving more problematic because his preference is a move to one of England’s Champions League clubs.

That impressive form attracted interest from Chelsea and Liverpool with reports in Portuguese newspaper O Jogo reporting earlier in the summer that they were battling it out over Brahimi’s signature while the Mirror also suggests that the Premier League duo are mulling over bids.
