Everton trying to keep Lukaku – Koeman
Romelu Lukaku will miss Everton’s EFL Cup third-round tie with Norwich through injury with Enner Valencia starting in his place, Ronald Koeman has revealed.

“There was talk of Juventus but no one can afford him in Italy”, Raiola cintinued.
Belgium striker Lukaku scored for the sixth time in the past three matches for club and country as Everton continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League season with a 3-1 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Lukaku had previously intimated that he saw his career away from Goodison Park, but may be persuaded to stay, explained his agent. This man is one of the most fantastic men I have met in my 35 years in football. “I think Leicester last season was an exception”, he said.
“And everybody is happy to be part of Everton – that’s not so hard at the moment”.
Raiola, who rates his client highly added: “I spoke with him after his hat-trick against Sunderland”.
Raiola’s revelation follows on from Lukaku’s father, Roger, claiming his son wanted to join two clubs this summer: Bayern or Manchester United.
‘For the player, Real Madrid would have been easier, La Liga, Champions League, but he wanted the greater challenge’.
“He can not go to Italy because they keep things closed at the back and it is too hard for an attacker”.
Lukaku was linked this summer with interest from Chelsea, but Everton were reported to be holding out for a transfer fee of £75million and the 23-year-old said he decided against pushing for a transfer.
