“It is a painful process to go through but we can learn from it”.

Following Everton’s 2-0 victory over Chelsea to reach the FA Cup semi-finals, the pair spoke about the relationship they had struck up, report the Liverpool Echo.

Eden Hazard is also a doubt and his lacklustre display was booed by a number of Chelsea fans, who have become accustomed to seeing the Belgian fail to replicate last season’s stellar displays.

After a brilliant start to his career on Merseyside when he nearly snatched a top-four finish, the Spaniard has stumbled this season, with Everton going into Saturday’s pivotal FA Cup visit of Chelsea on the back of SEVEN home defeats this season.

Everton players know another bad performance will put the heat back on Roberto Martinez.

“I felt it today”. Chelsea, who last season won the Premier League title and the League Cup, travel to Everton waiting on the fitness of striker Diego Costa and captain John Terry and will face an Everton side in the hunt for a first major honour since they won the FA Cup in 1995.

The Iranian billionaire, whose 49.9 percent share purchase, at a reported cost of £85 million, was ratified by the Premier League this week, also said he would tackle the club’s stadium situation.

Everton is 12 on the table with 38 points in the 28 games played so far, one point below West Bromwich Albion and one point above Watford FC. “We have nothing to fear”, coach Slaven Bilic said.

“That is why it is so important for us to look forward to this quarter-final, and the rest of the season”.

But Martinez said: “As a manager, you can not worry”.

Martinez has not had a conversation with Moshiri since Tuesday’s news, but said: “The first step was to get the approval from the Premier League”. Nobody expects them to get anything from the game, but why not give yourself the best chance when things are so desperate?

“Roberto Martinez says he doesn’t see it as “make or break”, but that is surely the reality for a manager under increasing scrutiny”.

“There’s very good quality of football in Ireland, some very good players and I’d like to think that there’s a couple more bargains over there that can come here and do really well in England”.
