Every DOOM pre-order on Xbox One comes with free games
Warpath, and every other mode in DOOM’s multiplayer, is augmented with the more interesting reveal: Hack Modules. Warpath is DOOM’s take on King of the Hill, albeit with an emphasis on always moving forward and blasting enemies non-stop. The point rotates around the map on a set path, while a demon rune (power-up) moves around the opposite side. There’s a number of them, and Bethesda was quick to point out these are not tied to microtransactions.

The original Doom might have been released in 2013, but it’s still a blast to play, and the Xbox 360 ports of the game got generally good reviews.
“While these are all on timers, your active Hack Module will pause when you die, allowing you to use the remaining time on your module, or to pick another module before you respawn (and thus reserve the remaining time in your prior module for later use)”, Bethesda explained.
“But none of these affect the game’s balance by changing how powerful your gun is or anything like that”, he clarified.
“Think of Hack Modules as an emphasized awareness of your surroundings that may, if you utilize it well, make you more effective”, Producer Marty Stratton said.

Doom will be coming out on 13 May for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Both Doom games are now Xbox One compatible and sell for $5 each on the Xbox Store. Pre-ordering customers will also receive the Demon Multiplayer Pack, which includes one unique Demon-themed armor set with three skin variations, six Hack Modules (one-use consumable perks) six exclusive metallic paint colors, and three id logo patterns that can be added to weapons and armour. Microsoft is apparently a big fan of id Software’s long-running series because the company is giving everyone who pre-orders DOOM on the Xbox One free copies of Doom 1 and Doom 2.
