Everything you need to know about the Playstation 4 Pro

Those are some mighty strong statements to throw out there, but seeing how Sony has fully unveiled their latest PlayStation 4 Pro, Microsoft could be holding true to their word.

Jonathan Blow has announced today that he and his team at Thekla Inc plan to deliver a patch for The Witness, enhancing the game’s visual quality, on November 10 when the PS4 Pro launches.

On top of Netflix 4K, there’s also going to be a YouTube 4K app available on PS4 Pro this year as well. The Xbox One S is $100 less than the PS4 Pro and supports 4K resolution streaming and Blu-ray, but doesn’t have the horsepower to play games at 4K.

An upgraded version of this model of the Xbox, now titled Project Scorpio, was announced in June 2016 and will be released during the holiday season of 2017, according to Xbox.

PlayStation 4 Pro owners won’t be the only ones getting in on the graphical upgrades, though. Although the PS4 Pro has the ability to play 4K content, it doesn’t support 4K blu-rays, something that the Xbox One Scorpio can do quite handily.

It would seem that Microsoft is quite confident that its machine’s hardware will be more than adequate to compete with Sony’s PS4 Pro.

However, it can’t be denied that Sony has a head start when it comes to sales what with holiday game releases in just a few more months. The “standard console moving forward”, the Slim is a smaller, more energy efficient version of the previous Playstation 4 consoles.
