Sweeney claimed that Christie is waiting to address the Transportation Trust Fund crisis – resulting in a month-long construction shutdown – in order to boost his chances of joining the Trump administration should the Republican nominee take the White House. “And for Mr. and Mrs. Khan, the pain of losing their son while defending our country is unfathomable and I think it gives them the right to say whatever they want”.
He also noted the sacrifices he’s made in his business career and said Khizr Khan had no right to question his views on the Constitution. His response has drawn days of criticism from both sides of the aisle, with President Obama saying Tuesday that Trump is “unfit” to serve as president and calling on Republican leaders to abandon their support for their nominee. But without enough votes to override Christie in the Senate among Democrats, he said he’s holding back a final vote on the bipartisan bill until enough Republicans step forward to guarantee an override.
“I’m not saying the economic activity will make up for whatever cut in revenue – no, it’s not going to be even. Meanwhile, Giuliani, the former New York City mayor, and a Trump surrogate, said Tuesday that the mogul’s insulting comments about Khizr and Ghazala Khan were “not a fatal blow” to his presidential bid but that he would still have been well-advise to not criticized them.
She resigned after his presidential campaign ended after a poor finish in New Hampshire. “He says that Hillary Clinton is the most qualified person in American history ever to be president”.
He also disagreed with Trump on whether Clinton is the devil, a remark the candidate made Monday.
