Ex-Fogle associate gets 27 years on child porn charges
The former head of a foundation started by ex-Subway pitchman Jared Fogle was sentenced Thursday to 27 years in prison by a federal judge on child exploitation and child pornography charges.

He was executive director of the Jared Foundation, a non-profit Fogle started in 2009 to raise awareness and money to fight childhood obesity.
Federal prosecutors said Fogle, a 38-year-old father of two, received photos or videos from Taylor of eight of Taylor’s 12 child victims and encouraged him to produce more child pornography.
Prosecutors had asked for a 12-1/2-year sentence for Fogle, but Judge Pratt slapped a 15-year, 8-month prison term on him.
Taylor has admitted in court documents to using hidden cameras to produce child pornography, but said it started by accident when security cameras captured a sexual encounter in his home office.
A man will be sentenced today in a child porn case that got worldwide attention because of the man’s boss.
The same judge gave Fogle more time than the prosecution had asked for.
The site pointed out that Taylor is facing charges on child porn and child exploitation for allegedly filming 12 minors in his home and giving footage to Fogle.
Prosecutors then accuse Taylor of providing Fogle with child pornography.
Fogle, who’s known as the former spokesman for Subway, apparently wanted Taylor to refer to him as ‘daddy’. He said he was in a “psychologically abusive relationship” with Fogle.

“Mr. Fogle would make me call him Daddy, as in, tell Daddy how much you love him, and Daddy will take care of you”, reads a psychiatric assessment of Taylor filed in federal court. Court documents show the maximum sentence for Taylor’s crimes would be 380 years. Fogle is due to formally plead guilty and be sentenced on charges of trading child pornography and paying for sex with minors. His attorneys are asking for a sentence that’s between 15 to almost 23 years.
