Ex-LSU safety Eric Reid joins Colin Kaepernick, kneels during national anthem
Those socks feature police officers dressed as pigs and were worn by QB back on August 10 during practice.

Also joining Kaepernick was former Green Beret and Seattle Seahawks long snapper Nate Boyer, who earlier tweeted a picture with the quarterback before the game.
The executive director of one of the largest police organizations in the country blasted Colin Kaepernick and the National Football League on Thursday after learning that during training camp practices in August, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback wore socks that bear the image of cartoon pigs wearing police hats. I have two uncles and friends who are police officers and work to protect and serve ALL people.
Kaepernick has told the media that he can’t stand up during the national anthem and honor the flag of America, because he believes it stands for oppression.
Whether or not one agrees with his decision, one thing not up for debate is that he has the right to do so and that is what our fearless service members have fought for-not a song or piece of cloth.
Kaepernick can carry on with his anthem protests if he wants, but if gets released, he could be out of a job for quite a while.
He is planning to sit during the playing of the national anthem again prior to the 49ers’ final preseason game against the Chargers on Thursday night-on “Military Night” in San Diego, no less.
Colin Kaepernick’s protest of the national anthem is apparently winning support from some military veterans on Twitter.
“I encourage all veterans to make similar post to mine and show support for our brother Kaepernick”, the user added. Many who have said Kaepernick was disrespectful for sitting during the Anthem are now pointing to this as another such incident. “People of color have been targeted by police, so that’s a large part of it and they’re government officials”.

This particular preseason game is called “Salute to the Military”, which the Chargers have every year. “There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder”. “I’m going to continue to stand with the people that are being oppressed”.
