Ex-NFL CB Stanley Wilson II shot while trespassing naked

Former Lions cornerback Stanley Wilson II was shot by a homeowner while breaking into a house.

Portland police and sheriff’s deputies responded to the scene and were approached by the 78-year-old homeowner who reportedly told them he shot an attempted burglary suspect.

A homeowner shot a former National Football League player Wednesday as he tried breaking into a Portland, Oregon, home, deputies said. The 33-year-old is expected to recover.

Former Lions cornerback Stanley Wilson II might have finally done something more freakish and ill-advised than his father.

It’s not known why Wilson was naked when he was discovered in the home. He became notorious after he missed Super Bowl XXIII and was found in a hotel bathroom with cocaine and drug paraphernalia. On Thursday morning officials charged him with two counts of attempted burglary and two counts of trespassing.
