Ex-Paterno players reunite at Penn St amid scandal’s wake
Video tributes to Paterno were played on video boards in the first half, drawing standing ovations from the crowd, according to the York Daily Record. Although he’s been out for the last two games for the season, the 2015 all-conference selection posted 1,262 yards on the ground past year, scoring 17 touchdowns. He also caught six passes for 48 yards.

Turnovers – Penn State has eight this season – continued to be an issue.
The rest-the prison-time-is not true justice, either, because even the worst four walls, 23-hours-a-day, can not hold a candle to the horrific wake left behind for the victims to slowly drown in for the rest of their days.
Temple would add a field goal with 2:10 remaining in regulation but DaeSean Hamilton fielded the ensuing onside kick that essentially sealed the win for the Nittany Lions.
Redshirt sophomore quarterback Trace McSorley connected on a handsome play with junior wide receiver Chris Godwin for a 52-yard touchdown.
After beating Kent State at home, 33-13, in the opener, Penn State lost at Pitt last week 42-39.
Quarterbacks: This probably will go down as the game in which Trace McSorley was his least sharp so far this season, but he still made plays. Godwin finished the afternoon with seven receptions for 117 yards as McSorley went 18-of-24 for 287 yards, hitting seven different targets in the process. His INT came on a miscommunication, and he did mishandle a snap. Its fired-up linemen pushed Penn State’s veteran defensive front off the ball at will in the second half, giving star running back Jahad Thomas space to rush for 135 yards and quarterback P.J. Walker time in the pocket to dissect Penn State’s secondary.
Receivers: The Lions really separated themselves with the work of this group. All deprived them of developing any kind of offensive rhythm. Wartman-White sustained a season-ending injury playing special teams against Temple previous year. On offense, the Owls are struggling, posting just 276 yards per game. O-line did what it reasonably could.
To get the Temple perspective on Saturday’s game, we found Dylan Fox over at Underdog Dynasty to fill us in. His yards per carry are down from past year but could look to have a breakout game against this Temple rush defense. Parker Cothren and Torrence Brown stood out.
All three starting linebackers – Brandon Bell (knee), Jason Cabinda (hand/wrist) and Nyeem Wartman-White (knee) – were out of the game, with Cabinda and Bell missing the entire game. “John Reid promised him an interception before the game, so it’s awesome for him to be able to deliver on that promise”. The main concern for Temple is QB Phillip Walker who has struggled in both games. Among the returning starters for the Owls is quarterback Philip Walker, who threw for 143-yards against the Nittany Lions past year. Tyler Davis continues to impress on field goals. Is there any concern that the Owls may have a hard time slowing down a Penn State offense that it shut out for the final three quarters of last year’s game?

The lone player to have been injured against Pitt and play against Temple was defensive tackle Kevin Givens, who had been in concussion protocol last week.
