Ex-Patriots employees Jim McNally, John Jastremski to meet with Troy Vincent

John Jastremski and Jim McNally were indefinitely suspended in May for their involvement in DeflateGate, but will return to the Patriots soon. But before they can work for the team again, they need to meet with Troy Vincent, the league’s Executive Vice President of Football Operations.

There’s no guarantee John Jastremski and Jim McNally will be immediately reinstated for their alleged roles in Deflategate. The Patriots requested the reinstatement of the duo last week, just a few days after Tom Brady’s four-game suspension was overturned in federal court.

The employees suspended amid the Deflategate controversy will not face any additional discipline for their roles in the matter, according to The Boston Globe.

Suspicious text messages between the Jastremski and McNally – including ones referring to “The Deflator” – became a centerpiece of the Wells Report.

It sounds like the two won’t have the same jobs if they are retained by the Patriots. “That doesn’t add up to me”, said Mike Flynn on Sports Sunday.

“Of course none of those things are my decision, but I feel awful”.

Commissioner Roger Goodell, on ESPN Radio this week, responded “absolutely not” when asked if the league demanded that Jastremski and McNally be punished, but multiple reports have said that the Patriots suspended the men at the league’s request. The Patriots are also expected to have representation in the room for the meeting.
