Judge Tanya Walton Pratt did not think either punishment was sufficient, and sentenced Fogle to 15 years and eight months in prison in court Thursday, reported the Indianapolis Star.

Fogle’s attorneys are asking for only a five-year sentence, saying their client is “profoundly sorry for what he has done”. When Fogle reportedly sobbed as he told the court that his wife would be a single mother if he went to prison, the judge was unmoved. “The level of perversion and lawlessness exhibited by Mr. Fogle is extreme”, Pratt said.
“I’ll pay you big for a 14 or 15-year-old”, Fogle wrote. I want to redeem my life.
“I so regret that I let so many of you down”, Fogle said.
In August, the former Subway spokesman agreed to plead guilty to receiving and distributing child pornography, as well as engaging in an unlawful sex act with a minor.
The charges come after federal agents raided Fogle’s home in early July. Viewing child porn and having sex with 16- and 17-year-old prostitutes “are not offenses that carry with them a high risk of recidivism”. At the hearing Thursday, Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Detective Darin Odier testified that Fogle knew at least three of the children in Taylor’s videos, and prosecutors indicated they will seek a harsher sentence in Taylor’s case. She recommended Fogle receive sex offender treatment in prison and said she’ll recommend he serve his time at a federal lockup in Littleton, Colorado, that specializes in such treatment.
In the government’s filing, prosecutors said “Fogle has sacrificed absolutely everything he had built – including his family – to engage in sexually explicit conduct with two minors”. Whether he is successful or not, he’ll still face significant prison time. “Bradford participated in that commonly when he was working for the Subway Corp”.
At the sentencing hearing, he also admitted that he offered a “finder’s fee” to adult escorts who could connect him to young girls, including two aged 16 to 17 he paid to have sex with in NY. “His primary interest was in youthful females and a few interest in adolescent males”.
Bradford would go on to say that Fogle has what he calls “mild pedophilia”.
“Obviously, I am extremely shocked and disappointed by the recent developments involving Jared”, she said in the statement released through Bingham Greenebaum Doll LLP. “He wanted me to set up my children, but along with their friends and their friends’ siblings”.

According to the court documents, Fogle has been involved in child exploitation since March 2001 when he had been viewing child pornography materials that has been given to him by his co-conspirator, Russell Taylor.
