‘He was clearly in charge of pitching this scam university to people’.

“I looked at every resume”.
“I have done nothing illegal or unethical as stated in the letter”, Owens said. “I did this to help people”.
One lawyer who worked closely in the investigation called the probe into Trump U.
So, a seminar that purported to teach people “everything they need to know to be a successful residential real estate broker” was not created to teach students to become real estate brokers. “I don’t know that because I was not running it”.
But Assistant Attorney General Rick Berlin told Donald Trump’s lawyers that “the promises made to students were “virtually impossible to achieve” and that the information covered “is essentially unusable”, according to the story. “And now he’s ready to share – with Americans like you – the Trump process for investing in today’s once-in-a-lifetime real estate market”.
“You didn’t personally select these instructors, correct?” he was asked. He responded: “That is correct”. Please see our terms of service for more information.
Morales’ interview with the Texas Tribune makes the point very clearly that Abbott had nothing to do with pulling the plug on the investigation into Trump University.
“The Court’s order unsealing documents has no bearing on the merits of Trump University’s case”.
Trump University’s core customers are identified in the documents as male heads of households between 40 and 54 years old with annual household incomes of at least $90,000, a college education and a net worth of more than $200,000.
Much like timeshare companies, Trump University attracted new clients with the promise of free stuff – seminars in this case, which served as an opportunity for salespeople to convince attendees to sign up for paid seminars costing up to $35,000.
The Trump campaign is doing its best to spin the embarrassing revelations that came out this week about Trump University, but New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman isn’t having any of it. This never was a university.
“Mr. Trump is not going to go through a 300-page, you know, binder of content”, Sexton said.
But that discrepancy isn’t the only one; Trump’s comments in the public arena, on several occasions, differ from what he said under oath.
Abbott endorsed Trump for president last month.
In 2010, Trump University was forced out of Texas thanks to the efforts of then Attorney General Greg Abbott.
However, during the December deposition, he repeatedly said he could not remember details about hiring decisions.
He later elaborated during a Republican debate, “I was a businessman, I give to everybody”. Trump has reveled in disparaging his rivals, continuing to bash his former Republican competitors even after locking up the nomination. He added, when given three other names, “It sounds very familiar.· Names – the names sound familiar, just too many years”.
“His own employees testified that Trump U – you can’t make this up – that Trump U was a fraudulent scheme where Donald Trump enriched himself at the expense of hard-working people”. Among the guidelines: “You don’t have to deliver what the reporter wants” and “Reporters are rarely on your side and they are not sympathetic”.

On Thursday, Schneiderman told Stephanopoulos that the case was brought in 2013 after more than a year of extensive negotiations with Trump, pushing back on the anchor’s question about Schneiderman being a member of Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton’s leadership council. Schneiderman said it was not and that the lawsuit was filed in 2013, two years before Trump made a decision to run for president. “He settles cases all the time”.
