Ex-Trump U students supplied by campaign beholden to Trump

Trump has defended Trump University by citing surveys in which 98 percent of students reported being pleased with the program.

The now-defunct university owned by Donald Trump, the presumptive Republican nominee for US president, has come under fire for allegedly fleecing its students and failing to deliver on promises to teach the secrets of success in real estate. “He’s a hater”, Trump said.

In response, Trump released a three-minute video on Wednesday which features former Trump University students voicing support for the now-defunct series of courses on real estate and investing.

“In addition to encouraging unlicensed activity (which is a misdemeanor in Texas)”, Berlin wrote, “the course materials in a number of respects are simply wrong under Texas law”.

Nevertheless, she said Trump University “will of course continue to honor its commitment to you and will continue to suspend its workshops in Texas while we address the remaining issues with your office”. He said, ‘My hand-picked experts will teach you my personal secrets.’ He and the president of the university have already testified under oath he never met the instructors, they weren’t hand-picked.

Berlin’s boss at the time was Attorney General Greg Abbott, a Republican, who is now governor.

For the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, it’s a bit of a disaster: the publicly available details paint Trump as a literal con man.

Trump spokeswoman Hope Hicks still defends the enterprise.

“Trump University was a professionally run company which provided students with a valuable and substantive education and the tools to succeed in business and real estate”, she told USA TODAY.

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi briefly considered joining with Schneiderman in a multi-state suit against Trump University.

On Thursday, Trump stood by Trump University in public comments on social media, writing that he planned to reopen Trump University.

Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton also slammed Trump for the school, according to a Huffington Post report. “Thousands of people were bilked out of millions of dollars”.

Making matters worse, Team Trump isn’t done going after U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel. Schneiderman said it was not and that the lawsuit was filed in 2013, two years before Trump chose to run for president.

Trump University was a business that offered customers advice that supposedly would help them succeed in business.

Trump University stopped operating in 2011.

“As a businessman and a very substantial donor to very important people, when you give, they do whatever the hell you want them to do”, Trump said.

Other court records and depositions showed that Trump and senior members of the Trump Organization were responsible for reviewing and signing all checks – and that Trump withdrew at least $2 million from the business.

“I have nothing but praise for the program”, he said. She took those days off in the middle of the week so she could work on the weekends as an event planner for the university.
