Actor Sreejith Ravi has been taken into custody and questioned by Ottapalam police as the registration number of a vehicle mentioned in a complaint, wherein the accused flashed himself before a few schoolgirls, belonged to him.

According to sources, the girls alleged that on August 27, a man had come by in a vehicle, stopped and exposed himself while they were on their way to school. He will be produced in court on Friday. According to police, the students were flashed by a man in the vehicle and the investigation is on to find the accused. It adds that he also took photographs of the girl.
The police said that action would be taken against the actor under provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, if the allegations are found true.

Following the incident, the girls informed the matter to the principal who lodged a complaint with the police. The girls noted the vehicle number and reported it to the police. But police personnel who recorded the statement of the students said they had identified not only the vehicle but the actor too. “I have explained my version before the police”, Sreejith said. “I think the students took down the number of the vehicle wrongly and coincidentally it turned out to be my car’s number”, Ravi told Manorama.
