Experts Believe Craig Wright is Not Satoshi Nakamoto
The 45-year-old Australian says he is the person who has until now gone by the name of “Satoshi Nakamoto”.

As per Bitcoin experts, it is important to know who is behind pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. The announcement came in his own blog post that was carefully coordinated with several media outlets, including the BBC and Economist. “I was the main part of it, but other people helped me”, Wright told BBC News.
“Some people will believe, some people won’t and to tell you the truth I don’t really care”, he said in a video clip.
Further technical proof furnished by Wright that he holds a private key involved with early Bitcoin transactions has also already been brought into question. “I can not allow the misinformation that has been spread to impact the future of bitcoin”, he said.
Wright presented digital signature files as “proof” that he is Satoshi Nakamoto – but, according to Reddit user JoukeH, the signature is from much later Bitcoin transactions and is not of the Satre text.
When Mr Wright was first identified, he was living in a modest home on a quiet tree-lined street in the suburb of Gordon, about 13km from Sydney’s central business district. The Australian Tax Office – the ATO – ruled in December 2014 that crypto currency should be considered an asset, rather than a currency, for capital gains tax purposes.
The chief scientist at the Bitcoin Foundation, Gavin Andresen, soon after published a blog backing Mr Wright’s claim.
“After spending time with him, I am convinced beyond a reasonable doubt: Craig Wright is Satoshi”, Andresen wrote.
The BBC pointed out that those keys are “inextricably linked to blocks of bitcoins” created by the shady creator Nakamoto, so case closed.
The Economist was not entirely convinced. We have again asked Mr Wright to provide additional information so we can independently verify that he is in possession of the cryptographic keys that would prove that he is Mr Nakamoto.
However, The Economist has some doubts about the story and did not confirm the authenticity of the same.
Whoever is the real Satoshi Nakamoto is worth a large sum of money… virtual or real.

At one point, two Israeli mathematicians floated, and later retracted, the notion that bitcoin was created by the founder of Silk Road, an online bazaar known for trade in various illicit goods.
