Experts say you should still enroll for Obamacare, despite possible repeal

If you’ve been thinking of signing up for coverage under the Affordable Care Act before or need to re-enroll, but haven’t because you were unsure of its future, there’s still time, but you need to act quickly.

Coverage for pre-existing conditions: People with cancer and other “pre-existing” conditions can not be denied coverage or charged more by insurers under Obamacare. The deadline to enroll, however, is today, January 31.

If you sign up before the start of February 1, you’ll have coverage by March for the rest of 2017, regardless of what action Congress takes.
