“Samsung Electronics Australia advises all customers who use a Galaxy Note7 smartphone to power off their device, return it to its place of purchase and use an alternative device until a remedy can be provided”, the company said in a statement. This problem affects the battery, which in a small number of cases has killed the handset stone dead.
In December 2013, Vancouver-area resident Richard Wygand told Global News he woke up in the middle of the night to find his Samsung Galaxy S4 – which was plugged into its charger – smoking and producing sparks. Can I swap it for another? Later that summer Chinese news outlets alleged that a Samsung Galaxy S4 was responsible for a house fire after a man’s phone burst into flames while he was using it. This means that your old phone will be swapped for a new one, even if you haven’t experienced any technical issues. United Kingdom customers who have Galaxy Note7 devices will be contacted by the provider or operator from which they purchased the product in order to arrange their device exchange.
“We are encouraging customers to exchange their Galaxy Note7 by taking advantage of the Product Exchange Program”.
Now it looks like the FAA may actually ban people from carrying the Galaxy Note 7 on flights as Gizmodo recently revealed.
The reason for your pre-order not arriving is most likely because Samsung halted the shipment, due to this issue.
In recalling its Galaxy Note 7s, Samsung said that it had received word of 35 phones that had endured battery malfunctions that might have led to explosions.
Samsung states that the new/replacement Samsung Galaxy Note 7 units have been built to incorporate safer batteries this time around, keeping in mind the safety of the users.
