Exploding Samsung Galaxy Note 7 Spoils Samsung’s Rise
Reuters also noted that Samsung did not detail specific issues with the battery, but several images and videos of burnt Galaxy Note 7 devices were spread across social media and news sites.

Yonhap News said five or six explosions were reported by consumers.
This unnamed Samsung official went on to say that Samsung will announce the the cause of the exploding Galaxy Note 7 batteries this weekend or next week. “A Samsung employee checked the site and he is now in talks over the compensation with Samsung”, the person said.
No official comment has been made by Samsung, as of yet and the fact that devices are catching fire even when the original Samsung charger is being used, is only adding concern among present and future users.
If the units are recalled, Samsung will apparently just furnish them with new batteries instead of offering a complete replacement. This will be done free of charge in Samsung’s service centers. While nothing is confirmed, it will probably depend on how many units are affected by the potentially exploding batteries as the company will surely want to keep the financial damage to a minimum. “The problem can be simply resolved by changing the battery, but we’ll come up with convincing measures for our consumers”, said the official. Samsung Electronics on Thursday after working-level discussion tentatively concluded that a defect in the battery is blamed for the explosion.
This surprising news has put a $7 billion dent in the company’s market value.
A Samsung spokesman said “it was discussing the issue of Note 7 internally” and will make an announcement soon.
Samsung launched the Galaxy Note 7 on August 19 in some markets including South Korea and the US.
