“It’s great to have Santa here in North Fort Myers because people don’t have to travel far”.

Those wishing to track Santa can do so here starting at 2:01 a.m. EST on Christmas Eve.
For the 11th year in a row, Google are bringing their Santa Tracker to desktop, as an Android app, and as a Chrome plugin. The website also offers includes holiday games and activities.
Noting NORAD’s longtime support of Santa’s Christmas Eve flight, EADS commander Col. Michael J. Norton said “we are always delighted to help”. Hundreds of military and civilian volunteers at NORAD are estimated to field more than 100,000 calls this year through Christmas Eve, from children from all over the world eager to hear about Santa’s progress.
White-bobble-topped tin-foil hats aside, NORAD have been tracking Santa Claus since 1955, after an ad gave the number for NORAD’s predecessor, the Continental Air Defense Command (CONAD), as a way of reaching Santa.
“We start in November”, Kelly said.
Where in the world is Santa Claus?
“We get a lot of calls from Europe, Australia and New Zealand”, said NORAD’s Stacey Knott, who has organized the Santa tracking for three years.
When does Santa arrive exactly?
To use Cortana to find Santa, just pull up the voice-based assistant any time before Christmas, and ask. Links to NORAD Santa tracker and Google Santa Tracker provided in article below. On the other hand the NORAD website warns the kids to “keep in mind, Santa’s route can be affected by weather, so it’s really unpredictable”. According to the command, Santa is about 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs 260 pounds with a round belly, rosy cheeks and flowing white beard.
Advertisers and retailers jumped on Santa’s sleigh, and faster than you can say, “Ho, ho, ho”, he was in shopping malls across the country.
NORAD said its pilots have intercepted Santa many times. For instance, in the countdown to the big day, Cortana reveals that Santa is hitting the North Pole barber for a beard trim, trimming reindeer hooves, and making cocoa with tiny marshmallows for the elves.

There is a technical side to the Santa tradition. “Then we transfer over tracking to the satellites”.
