Ezekiel Elliott issues apology over comments after Ohio State loss
“Is (Peppers) a good running back?” At least no one was more vocal in expressing their anger.

“I had a 103-degree fever”. I asked for those plays to be called.
“It’s never resonated with me, the coach versus the other coach”, Harbaugh said.
It does not seem as though Elliott will miss any time against MI on Saturday, a game that could wind up being a Big Ten Championship play-in if MI State loses. His 33 yards ended a streak of 15 games of Elliott rushing for more than 100 yards. The shot he had been waiting for all year – and he drilled it from 41 yards out to win the game, 17-14.
While I do have faith in Rudock’s arm to do some of that same work against the Buckeyes, I can’t bring myself to believe that’ll be enough.
What he was unhappy with was how he was used in the game. What happened today, it was kind of like a bad, bad dream.
Players of both sides are obviously looking forward to Saturday’s game.
“I don’t care if I rushed for 20 yards or 200 yards but I just wanted to win that game”, Elliott wrote.
The Spartans marched 75 yards on 13 plays, no completed passes but a helpful offside on Ohio State, and Gerald Holmes reached the ball over the goal line for a 2-yard touchdown to tie at 14 with 12:03 left. That caused the Buckeyes coaching staff to limit the junior running back’s carries, giving him two in the second half. “But I am not leaving after this season because we lost that game”. Just a single win in a regular season game.
He said he understands Elliott’s frustration.
See 10 things I learned, in no particular order, from Week 12 action below. A win against rival Ohio State would make it an even better season than it already has been. The Buckeyes have lacked the confidence and creativity that carried them to the national title, to say nothing of the carefree attitude with which they played. “I know I’m probably going to get another 64 questions on it, but it’s done”.
Ohio State coach Urban Meyer, with his team set to square off with archrival MI this weekend, joined Elliott in trying to douse the controversy Monday by saying “we squashed it as a team”.
“He was fine. That was earlier in the week and he practiced Thursday”. “We’re just not – we’re not operating at maximum capacity, is the key word, and there – we’re still 10-1”.
B1G HIGHLIGHT – Ezekiel Elliott had some strong comments following Ohio State’s loss to MI State.
“Honestly, this is my last game in the Shoe”, Elliott said following the loss to the Spartans.
“I’ve watched the game ever since, every year since 1973”. I couldn’t disagree with him, his comments, that he should have gotten the ball a little bit more. I’m sorry about tonight.

This Saturday will be the toughest MI team we’ve seen in years and it’s all because of one guy, Coach Harbaugh.
