F1 drivers call for ‘improving safety’ post Bianchi tragic death
This was an honour which underlined the Frenchman’s promise as a driver and the high regard with which the talent-spotters at Maranello, F1’s most illustrious team, held him in. “He would have been ideal for the coming years”.

Manor Marussia F1 team principal John Booth has released a statement expressing his and the team’s sadness following the death of Jules Bianchi. “Of course I feel ready”, he explained. It looks like the logical step for me if something happens. “If the opportunity presents itself, it would be good for me”.
No-one laughed or thought Bianchi’s claims outlandish.
Jules constantly had the upper-hand over his teammate, Max Chilton, and always appeared to be outperforming his equipment, impressing both his team bosses and those at Ferrari.
DAVID Beckham and Lewis Hamilton were among the celebrities to pay heartwarming tributes to Jules Bianchi today, who has died aged 25.
From his ancestry, it was obvious where it all came from.
During the Japanese Grand Prix past year, driver Adrian Sutil lost his control of his vehicle on lap 42.
His life tragically cut short after a horrific accident at the 2014 Japanese GP, Bianchi’s talent was never to be fulfilled but was apparent from the start of a motorsport career which promised so much. The announcement was made by his family on Facebook, which was later confirmed by Bianchi’s team, Manor Marussia.
Born in Nice in 1989 to Italian parents, Bianchi had racing in his genes.
Jules died in a hospital in his hometown of Nice, France, according toCNN.
Bianchi was transferred to a French hospital near his family home in November, seven weeks after his devastating crash in Japan. In 2007 he moved from karting to single-seater cars, starting in French Formula Renault 2.0.
His speed was spotted.
Formula One president Jean Todt said Saturday that the world of motor sport is in mourning.
His performance caught the eye of Ferrari and he was the first to enroll in their acadamey where he stayed for two seasons. He became the first to enrol in their young driver academy.
The Frenchman was one of the most promising of a new generation of Formula 1 drivers.
The gifted young Marussia driver’s death sparked a flood of tributes from his pitlane colleagues and the world of politics.
Why would I tittle his picture with the caption the late great? “Thoughts to those close to him”, he wrote.
How far he would have gone is unknown. “He’s from an extremely loving family and it’s awful they’ve had to go through this”.
The French driver had been in a coma since the accident at Suzuka.
He took part in 17 Formula One races, finished third at the 1968 Monaco Grand Prix and won the Le Mans 24-hours endurance race later that season.
A year on from his greatest achievement, Bianchi’s father gave an interview warning that hope was fading.

He is the first F1 driver to die from injuries sustained in a Grand Prix since Brazilian triple world champion Ayrton Senna was killed at Italy’s Imola circuit in 1994.
