Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been charged with an alleged act of violent conduct for an incident in Sunday’s Premier League match against West Ham, the Football Association has announced.

The Argentine global now faces a three-match ban that would see him miss Premier League games against Manchester United and Bournemouth and a League Cup third-round tie against Swansea City.
Referee Andre Marriner was only a few yards away from the incident but did not spot Reid being hit in the jaw.
Aguero pulled out of worldwide duty with Argentina this week because of a calf problem and might have struggled for fitness ahead of the United clash.
If he is found guilty by a panel of former officials, Aguero could receive a three-match ban.
New Zealand defender Reid was later seen holding his throat and captain Mark Noble said after the game his team-mate “can’t really talk”.
The Citizens currently sit atop the Premier League standings after winning their first three games of the 2016-17 season, but that perch will now be in danger if they’re without the talents of their talismanic frontman. “He has until 6pm on Wednesday 31 August to reply”.

The injury prevented the player from being part of the national squad for the upcoming World Cup 2018 qualifiers with Uruguay and Venezuela.
