Team Alpha Male Urijah Faber has given his reaction to the news that long-standing member TJ Dillashaw’s will be departing after being offered a deal to train with Elevation Fight Team in Colorado.

“I come to find out later there’s a guy Leister or something like that”.
“Trust me, this train is going to get blown out of proportion”, Faber added.
“I’m like, ‘It doesn’t make sense for you to come in and spar with our guys, ‘” Faber recounted from a conversation with Dillashaw.
Can’t say a little birdy didn’t tell you so. There has already been a falling out with Faber and former coach Duane Ludwig. These hefty benefits prompted Dillashaw to proclaim he was was “taken care of better in college”.
Money may not be the only reason for Dillashaw’s move to Elevation Fight Team. Dillashaw often cross-trained with Elevation while he was in Colorado to train with Ludwig. “I never really saw it coming”.
It was only matter of time before Team Alpha Male leader and UFC veteran Urijah Faber spoke in great detail about T.J. In fact, they will both be in attendance at former flyweight title challenger Joseph Benavidez’s wedding this weekend. “He gives back to the team, but he’s also about no. 1”.
Regardless of whether Faber is anxious about losing a champion on his team, or whether he is really upset about the way the whole thing went down, the story has developed into a saga. “We were grooming him to be a champion”. If we want to maintain a friendship that’s built through actions, I’m OK with being friends with the guy. We sat down for an hour, I showed him my house, we hung out, reminisced.
“He wants to walk away from the team”. The two lived together during the earlier parts of Dillashaw’s career, and Faber is known for creating a family-like atmosphere at Team Alpha Male. Traditionally, it works the other way around, with the fighters being the ones who would pay to train at a particular camp.
The former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) featherweight champion has appeared as a coach on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) twice.
Ludwig is not a full-time coach at Elevation Fight Team, although he is expected to work closely with Dillashaw prior to his UFC Fight Night 81 title clash with bantamweight contender Dominick Cruz.

Neither Faber nor Dillashaw has indicated that either has changed his mind about fighting the other, and Faber said on the radio show that he was still open to being friends, but the door to Alpha Male is closed unless Dillashaw does a full reversal.
