Facebook CEO Zuckerberg back before Congress for a second day of testimony
“I think it’s inevitable that there will be some regulation”, Zuckerberg said, making rather vague promises to have “his team” get in touch with legislators. Zuckerberg must be getting used to this by now. On Tuesday, he took questions for almost five hours in a U.S. But, look, if you’re that concerned about your privacy, this is the right step to take.

“When we learned in 2015 that Cambridge Analytica had bought data from an app developer on Facebook that people had shared it with, we did take action”, said Zuckerberg. Here’s how he opened this morning. “It was my mistake and I’m sorry”, Zuckerberg said on Tuesday. He endorsed greater privacy controls on the internet philosophically but avoided supporting any specific regulation when questioned. Richard Blumenthal, Conn., said during the hearing.
But if there was any question whether such contributions led to legislators going easy on the company, the answer appears to be, mostly, no.
At the end of his testimony, Zuckerberg confirmed that there had been no change in Facebook usage as a result of the scandal, something Wall Street analysts had theorised would be the case.
The US-based Facebook last week admitted that 5.62 lakh people in India were “potentially affected” by the global data leak, involving CA. In fact, it may be the only truly valuable thing about Facebook. Facebook generatesabout $9 a month per user in the U.S.by targeting you with ads.
“We are not unsafe”, Diamond and Silk said on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends,” following Zuckerberg’s testimony before Congress on Tuesday.
“I think we may be updating it a little bit”.
For those, who are unaffected by the event, will receive a more general message for checking apps and websites that have access to their Facebook data.
It’s no surprise the photo made its way to Twitter, sparking even more memes about the Facebook executive.
“You didn’t know that FTC doesn’t have fining authority and that Facebook could not have received fines for the 2011 consent order”. A lot of users have the same troubles understanding, what exactly is Facebook doing with the information we turn over? Lindsey Graham about whether Facebook is a monopoly, and today has also (so far) produced one good round of questions.
Zuckerberg responded by noting that Facebook produces enterprise software but doesn’t consider itself an enterprise software company, and it builds planes but doesn’t consider itself an aerospace company. She’s a Democrat from California.
Congresswoman Anna Eshoo asked if his own data had been “included in the data sold to the malicious third parties”.
SELYUKH: So this is the first time.
Zuckerberg said the European standard, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to come into effect on May 25, was more stringent than what was now in place at Facebook and suggested it could serve as a rough model for United States rules in the future.

Zuckerberg also gave characteristically nondescript answers when asked if Facebook had violated European privacy laws, saying simply “we’re working on it”. Thank you so much, Alina.
