Facebook.com was down for some users on Thursday, although the mobile app and Messenger services appeared to be working.

“Another wrote “#facebookdown means we will not get updates from these teams we by no means requested to hitch, or see pics of what distant cousins had for lunch”.
A similar Facebook outage happened last summer. Stories from the USA suggest some users dialled 911 to report the issue. Even so this was a huge problem for millions around the world and they needed somewhere to vent out their troubles, and what better place than Twitter. The incident prompted Sgt.
“We’re a bit overloaded right now…Please try again later, or download Skype to use it any time”, Skype said in its first reaction after sign-in issue.
After fours of outage, Facebook has restored its website in Europe.
