The Menlo Park, Calif. firm is rolling out a new feature that stitches together photos you’ve taken with your closest friends into a brief video.

The Friends Day videos users see will be pre-populated, but users can customize and edit the videos and choose different photos to include, and the new videos will be posted to their Timelines shortly thereafter. It may be recalled that on Feburary 4, Facebook celebrates Friend Day Day. You find ways to keep it focused on the needs of the community, and it’s not about you. Facebook says that in the same time period, the degree of separation between a pair of Facebook users has decreased from 3.74 degrees to 3.57, an example of “how closely connected the world has become”. As this tool is rolling out globally, you may not receive it right away – Facebook said that most people should receive this by mid-day on Thursday.

Finally, something else to share with your friends: Stickers.

Like last year, this year too Mark Zuckerberg has urged the Facebook users to share their friendship stories for #friendsday today.
