Facebook filled with reports of ‘creepy clown’ sightings in southwest Oklahoma City
Her next tweet acknowledges that she “photoshopped” the clown into the picture, but chaos was reigning on the floor of her dorm already and her Resident Assistant had called police, WTIC reported. They should also be discouraged from and made aware of the seriousness of posting any type of internet post that could be construed as a threat.

The incident was recorded and posted to Facebook.
Diana’s 21-year-old son Seth also does clowning.
Police searched the school, but nothing suspicious was found. The threats have been deemed hoaxes by authorities who have investigated the cases.
Penn State police Sgt. Mike Nelson conservatively estimated at least 500 students marched and chanted during a “clown hunt” that was prompted by Twitter and other social media posts.
There have been many clown sighting and pranks throughout the country.
“We’re urging the public to contact police, and provide as much detail as they can”, Dunn said. CPS is now investigating the threat.
“More than 100 clowns are expected to show up in the so-called first ever “Clown Lives Matter” protest”.
Again, no clowns on campus, though *insert joke about college kids here.* Hehehe. The “malevolent clown was a student doing a performance-art project”.
Whether or not the clowns are truly threatening, or just a freakish social media trend, remains to be seen.
After multiple clowns were spotted around town in Orono, Maine on Monday night, police released a statement that “if someone wants to do this to purposely scare people, we will handle them accordingly”. A few days later, police in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, received a call about someone dressed as a clown trying to do the same.
At one school in OR, officials sent an email to anxious parents this week reassuring them after a rumor spread about clowns planning to harm local students.
The police department says there have been communities where people dressed as clowns and committed crimes, but some of those national reports are greatly exaggerated. It’s possible the three clowns fled in a black SUV.
“Officers responded to these reports but were unable to substantiate them”.

“So far there have been no reports of confirmed clown sightings in the City of Hammond and at this time the information appears to be exclusively based on Facebook”, Hoyda said.
