Facebook glitch leads to fantastic love story

The other person, Celeste Zendler, was a total stranger to Mr Benson and lived in Boulder, Colorado, 1,600km from Mr Benson’s South Arkansas home. “In the fall of 2013, she relocated from Colorado to live with me in Arkansas”, Benson wrote. The pair had no mutual friends or groups in common.

To this day, Benson has no idea how he got logged into Zendler’s account in the first place, but he’s definitely glad he did. For a complete week, he found himself logged into Celeste’s account.

He stated that after a few confusion, he was capable of sign off – however then Celeste despatched him a Facebook request.

Both parties were left stumped by the phenomenon, and they tried several different methods to solve the problem before Zendler sent Benson a friend request.

A Facebook login glitch spawned an unexpected romance when it brought two people, who never met before, together on the social media site six years ago.

Zendler on October 4, 2009, posted that she wanted to know how a stranger logged into her account. Initially, Zendler had planned to delete Benson, but they soon found themselves talking and discovered they had a lot of things in common.

‘It turns out we had a lot in common.

An online friendship eventually led to a relationship which eventually led to meeting in person nearly four years after the fateful Facebook snafu.

Fast forward to June 21, 2015 – that’s when Benson and Zendler were married.

“I found my partner, my best friend, my great love via a simple glitch in social media”.

And sometimes, there are just a few things you do get right, even when you mess up. It clearly went well – later that same year, Celeste moved to Arkansas to be with Schuler. “This is my beauty”.
