Facebook Is Completely Changing The Look Of Messenger
You can also now do more than just send and receive messages. Most of these new features also seem to come directly from the Messenger experience on Facebook’s website, which already shows you a mix of your favorites and people now online.

Facebook says it want to make it “simpler and easier” for users to start conversations. After that, you’ll scroll down and see a “Favorites” section, which will include your most frequently messaged contacts; this part reminds me of the customized “Favorite” list at the top of my old AIM Buddy List.
This is the latest move from Facebook to give Android users a reason to run the Facebook Messenger app. The company also removed messaging from the Facebook app for Android a while ago. When you lose or exit the game, the score posts to your Facebook conversation. Given that the Facebook Messenger app can now cater to both SMS as well as messages sent by other Facebook users, the app will highlight these messages in Purple and Blue colours respectively. Messenger’s big update is starting to roll out today and will continue over the next few weeks, so keep an eye out for it to arrive on your phone. This makes it faster to start a conversation and essentially eliminates the need to find them under the People section or create a new message.
Just a few days after Apple made breaking announcements at the WWDC 2016, Facebook has unveiled major updates to its Messenger app for iOS platform. Facebook Home never took off then, but now its name is being resurrected in one of the most popular apps on the planet, Messenger. Right now, it acts as a pretty standard inbox, showing all of your message threads with the most recent on top.
