Facebook News: FB Launches New Private-Messaging Button for Businesses

Businesses can incorporate a “Send Message” button into their ads, to let Facebook users initiate a private conversation directly from the ad.

Not only can businesses get in touch with the general public by adding a “send message” button on ads appearing in newsfeeds, they can also directly send a private message to anyone posting on their Facebook page.

When a business responds privately to a comment, the comment shows a note that the business responded privately to let other Page visitors know that the business handled the request. Previously, businesses or companies could only reply to users’ announcements in the manner these were started, through either a post or perhaps a hidden letter. “And increasingly people want to communicate with businesses in the same efficient way”, it said.

To encourage quick responses, Facebook will award “very responsive to messages” badges on business pages that respond to 90 percent of messages and respond on average within five minutes.

The changes also include new messaging integration for ads on Facebook.

Facebook also hopes to showcase its social network messaging app to busineses, proving that advertising on Facebook has massive benefits and can lead to increased sales as well as heightened awareness of a brand.

Now, should a person grass any comment throughout the Facebook site, the web page vendor can speak up confidentially via Messenger.

Responsiveness ratings are dynamic and calculated based on data from the last seven days.
