Facebook Notes turned into blogging platform
This is evidenced from the enticing layouts and new fonts that have been incorporated as part of the update that came after a 5 year long wait since 2010 when the first update to Notes was released.

Facebook, Inc (NASDAQ:FB) has relaunched “Notes” which hitherto had been receiving step motherly treatment from FB’s developers who were (and perhaps still are) more focused on rivalling against YouTube by turning FB into a video content website. You get the option of formatting your text in headers, bullets, quotes, etc.
To attend the demand of 1,49 million users, the biggest social network is always updating its page by adding or updating features to make the experience more unique. The Facebook notes update is a success and because of this Facebook is rolling out officially for every user so that they can enjoy the same. The blog startup site was created by Twitter co-founder Ev Williams in 2012, and features a “social journalism” hybrid of professional and unpaid contributions.
Text formatting options are limited, but all of the essentials are there – heading, numbered and bulleted lists, pull quotes, and code blocks.
With this update, you can add a cover photo that represents what your note is all about.
The user may put a caption on the photo with the updated version. It’s still pretty sparse compared to more established platforms like Medium or Squarespace, but for the average Facebook user not interesting in signing up for another platform, it may be enough.
In August, Facebook did an experimental facelift of Notes with the aim to give the feature a sense of importance and permanence.
The post was made by Isaac Salier-Hellendag, a Facebook User Interface Engineer, on September 25, Friday.
There is no doubt that Notes from Facebook has been given a major tweak by the company. In addition, users can also add cover images to all notes.

Currently, the creation of a note is only restricted to the web version, though notes are viewable in both web and mobile ones.
