A Facebook post by Rebecca Lyn requesting birthday cards for her autistic cousin has been shared almost 60,000 times.
“Hallee sat at her party anxiously waiting for her friends to arrive so they could have fun but Hallee’s friends would never arrive. I am sure my little girl would love to make her one as well”, Jessica Serrato Molnar commented.
EVERYONE PLEASE READ:: I NEED A FAVORThis is my cousin Hallee. Hallee, who has autism, was excited to spend her 18th bowling with her friends.
The Facebook describes Hallee as a attractive young woman, both inside and out.
The photo, which has now gone viral with more than 55,000 shares, shows Halle eating her own birthday cake, alone.
The emotional tale, however, has a happy ending, as Rebecca ended her message with a plea to send Hallee birthday cards ‘to make this year’s birthday incredible!’
As of Thursday, the post has been shared more than 94,000 times. She is asking people reading her Facebook post to send birthday cards. “Hal loves getting mail – this would be the best birthday gift she could ask for”. “If you could find it in your heart to take a few [minutes] out of your day and send her a card, I would be forever grateful”. She hopes Hallee’s story will serve as a reminder that, no matter who you are or how old you are, every birthday should be a special one.
