Harris, a beloved figure in Kingsessing who always fixed anyone’s computer problem, died eight hours later in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

Before Harris was shot, the three goons – believed to be between 17 and 19 years old – held him and his wife at gunpoint, and demanded cash. “We was getting ready to lay down”, Harris’ wife told Action News. Harris, an electronics repairman, added the caption: “I misplaced $60,000.00”.
The couple’s three children aged 5, 2 and 10 months – they had celebrated their daughter’s fifth birthday earlier that day – were also in the house at the time.
While there, she heard gunfire in another room, Small said.
During the ensuing confrontation, one of the intruders shot Harris in the head. “I hope my wife didn’t go shopping with it”.
The female, according to police, told the suspects that the family was “poor” and didn’t have any money.
After shooting the victim, the suspects ran out of the home, leaving behind a rifle on the front porch.
During the home invasion, the suspects kept demanding “the money,” Philadelphia Magazine reports.

Investigators in the meantime were looking into the possibility that a auto that crashed into a parked vehicle at 51st and Locust Streets and overturned may have been used by the bandits in their getaway. Police haven’t ruled out the possibility this was connected to home invasion. So far there have been no arrests in the case.
