Another goal is to get more companies to advertise on Facebook, while making ads more relevant to Facebook users. That’s double what the average view count was back in April and eight times the amount of daily video views the platform had in September 2014. “We’re competing with other forms of media”, Sandberg said. People visiting the Facebook site at least once a month stood more than 1.55 billion people, up by 14 percent from a year ago. More than 1.39 billion people now use Facebook on mobile devices, including more than one billion on Android.

Chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg said: ‘We think we have the best mobile ad product in the market. “We’re also pretty focused on helping bring the next set of people who are not online, online”.
In mobile, Facebook’s share of digital ad revenues this year is expected to be around 17.4% in a market worth a few $72 billion.

The vast majority of people are now using Facebook on their phones, the company said Wednesday.
Facebook did not disclose Instagram’s advertising sales figures. Its advertising revenue is projected to grow to US$2.8 billion by 2017.
The social networking giant’s expenses skyrocketed, increasing 68% year-on-year to $US3.04 billion, but a huge drive in video advertisements provided the capital needed for Facebook to bank on new, revolutionary technologies.
Responding to an analyst’s question related to India, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the company is looking to expand its Internet.org initiative in the country. The stock advanced 1.3% to $103.94 at the close in New York, leaving it up 33% this year.
Revenue jumped to US$4.50b for the quarter, from US$3.20b a year earlier. The company has reported $4.5 billion revenue and the profit of $1.46 billion.
