Facebook to expand beyond its ‘like’ button ‘pretty soon’
After testing the feature in various countries, Facebook is finally ready to roll it out all its users.

While the report didn’t detail when exactly the feature will roll out to everyone, Facebook chief product manager Chris Cox said the team has taken measures not to rush the process.
Facebook first announced the new emoji emotions last fall as a new way for the social network to let you quickly respond to statuses or photos with more nuance than a “like”. For years, people have been asking, whether legitimately or in jest, for a “dislike” button on Facebook to show disapproval or anything other than just agreement or “like”.
To access the new options, users have to hold down the “like” button until the additional reactions pop up. The new options will be added soon, Bloomberg notes.
The Reactions are angry, sad, wow, haha, yay and love. Each option includes an animated image to express the emotion. I suppose anyone wanting to use it could just stick to the old-fashioned “like” button instead. “We need to figure out the right way to do it so it ends up being a force for good, not a force for bad”, said Zuckerberg, when asked about the issue in 2014, according to Mashable.
It appears that the response from users who got Reactions before everybody else has been positive that Facebook has chose to rollout this feature for everybody.

The company worked with sociologists to analyze the most common reactions across the social media platform to determine which emoji faces would make the cut.
