Facebook appears to be as popular as ever among U.S.-based handset owners, with recently published data confirming it as the most-used smartphone app of 2015. The fastest-growing app for the year among the top 10 was Facebook Messenger, up 41%, and taking the third spot. Facebook has added quite a few features to Facebook Messenger, and even made it possible for users to use the app without having a Facebook account. Since its very high-profile entrance into the music-streaming world in June, Apple Music has been a constant source of debate. A bit surprising not to see the Apple App Store listed, considering the Google Play Store was in the top 5. In October, Apple CEO Tim Cook disclosed that the streaming service has over 15 million users, out of which, 6.5 million are paid subscribers.
