The man, Danny Ponder, 48, served as a police officer for seven months back in 1988, but a few obvious clues gave away his charade at the service in Mableton, Georgia.
According to the report, he got spotted by authority carrying a red & white lights, a Glock 23 pistol and a radio that didn’t work.
He had been also seen at the signals stopping and directing the traffic.
Ponder was jailed on Saturday but has been bailed for a $5,700 bond.
