Fallout 4 dev teases three different ‘big and crazy’ projects

It certainly seems like Bethesda is expanding as a developer if creative director Todd Howard’s words during a DICE talk are to be believed.

Three different downloadable add-ons are in the works for the game with more planned further down the line. Luckily, the projects are still “Bethesda-styled”.

Bethesda Game Studios is working on three new games that they describe as “different than things we’ve done before”.

“We are busier now than we have ever been”. If they were continuing this pattern, it would be easy to guess that their next project would be a follow-up to Skyrim, or Elder Scrolls VI. “It really changes it”, said Howard.

This week, Bethesda detailed the upcoming DLC for Fallout 4, while also announcing a closed beta for all additional content. The first DLC pack for Fallout 4 will be called Automatron.

While Howard remained tight-lipped as to what these new projects might be, he did offer a small tease, saying: “They’re different than anything we’ve done before, while also being a Bethesda-style game-kind of big and crazy-but in many ways different than things we’ve done before”. The pack will allow players to design and set cages to capture live creatures that can be tamed, fought and more.

Before the launch of new content players will also get access to a new version of the Survival Mode, which will ask players to carefully manage their food intake, their sleep and their healing capabilities in order to stay alive in the Wasteland and to deal with quests.
