Fallout 4 finally gets full modding support (and horse armor!) on PC
It has thus created an all new system with Bethesda.net and considers it a huge leap forward in achieving that goal. As for the long-awaited release of Fallout 4 mods on home consoles, Bethesda also confirmed a May launch for Xbox One, with PS4 arriving a month later in June. “The next available release of the affected unofficial patch will remove the changes we’ve made – assuming the issue is completely fixed by Bethesda’s patch”, the creators advised. Are you interested in adding mods to Fallout 4 on your console? Watch this space for more. Choose “beta” again from the drop-down menu and click on “OK” to install the update. People who have updated can search for, access, and assess mods while playing the game, though you can also visit the Bethesda website to see what’s available.

To show off mod support, Bethesda has a new announcement video that includes a version of the walking mech-style armor from Fallout 4 that looks like a horse.
To get mod support right now, you’ll have to move your version of Fallout 4 for PC into the beta path.
Moreover, the Creation Kit itself allows anybody to create their own mods by using the same technology that Bethesda themselves used to build Fallout 4 in the first place. Once Fallout 4 [Beta] appears in your Library, you’re all set. “New quests, environments, characters, dialogue, outfits, weapons and more – with Mods, the possibilities of what you can do are endless”, Bethesda wrote in a blog post.
The lack of official tools certainly hasn’t slowed down the Fallout 4 mod scene, but those needing a bit more power at their fingers have cause to rejoice: The Creation Kit is finally (sort of) finished.

Console players will have to wait for more than just a download, however.
