Fallout 4 Patch 1.3 Details Step Out into the Irradiated Air
Fallout 4’s hilarious headless glitch has been addressed on PC in the latest 1.3 beta update.

The update adds a new ambient occlusion setting (HBAO+), new weapon debris effects (NVIDIA cards only), a status menu for your settlers, allows for easier handling of building objects with a gamepad, and improves key remapping for Workshop mode. Needless to say, there are a ton of bug fixes included in this latest update, but that’s not all.
Keep in mind that this beta update is a work in progress so before opting into the beta, backup your saved games. And hey, I don’t judge if you do, but this patch seems to be more about the tweaks and the fixes rather than the new hotness: General memory and stability improvements, improved performance when looking through a scope, MacReady’s Killshot perk now calculating headshot percentages properly, that sort of thing.
Other quests that saw fixes being applied to them include “The End of the Line”, “Unlikely Valentine”, “Confidence Man”, “Human Error” and “Tactical Thinking”.
Patch 1.3 will certainly bring some players back to the open world experience for their second or their third playthrough, but the best way to ensure the title stays interesting in the long-term is to offer DLC. The Beta Update option should be selected and confirmed, with the update for Fallout 4 supposedly kicking in a few minutes after that.

If you decide you don’t want to run the Beta anymore, redo these steps right up to the drop down, then select “NONE – Opt out of all beta programs”.
