Fallout 4 update gets game ready for DLC
The most important aspect of this update, however, is that it is helping to prepare your copy of Fallout 4 for the upcoming DLC, Nuka-World. And now, as reported by Ecumenical News, the said content is slated to arrive this month – on or before August 30.

Bethesda’s “Nuka-World” DLC is believed to be the last of “Fallout 4’s” story-based expansions. The only unfortunate thing to come out of “Fallout 4” as of late is that there still is no update about the PlayStation 4 mods, which the game developer earlier admitted via Twitter that they still are being evaluated.
The Fallout 4 1.6.9 update delivered a number of key bug fixes and enhancements and a brand new Vault-Tec Workshop update brings solutions for problems plaguing the company’s DLC-add on.
Incidentally, an update for PS4 has yet to be released. It is said to contain a very specific content support feature that will pave the way for the forthcoming expansion.
We’ll continue to update this page with new details as they become available so check back in for regular updates about the latest Fallout 4 patch.

It may also take a while before PS4 players find out if they will be getting a closed beta for the mods since Hines also noted that the potential availability of the beta will depend on what happens to the now ongoing evaluation process.
A full list of patch notes is available on the Steam Community site and the “Fallout 4” 1.7 patch update is now live for all Steam users. Xbox One and PS4 users would know if it will arrive in a few weeks or so.
The DLC is set on an abandoned post-apocalyptic amusement park formerly owned by Nuka Cola.
Accordingly, the expansion will be featuring more than just a new location but also several new Raiders, a bunch of new weapons, and quests to finish.

Either way, there’s a lot of work cut out for Bethesda outside the “Fallout” franchise as two new intellectual properties are on the table as well as the long-awaited “Elder Scrolls 6”.
