Family feud? Obama caught between Clinton, Biden ambitions
“I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of an endorsement in the Democratic primary”, White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters.

Carson – who in a recent poll placed third among GOP candidates, following first-place Donald Trump and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush – said if he were Vice President Joe Biden, he would challenge Clinton.
At the weekend Mr Biden met privately for two hours with Senator Elizabeth Warren, a key figure in the Democratic Party who has yet to endorse a candidate.
The Vice President announced today that Kate Bedingfield will serve as his Communications Director, starting Monday.
KARL: So, I’d assume that means the president would support Vice President Biden if were to run?
The National Review went so far as to call a Biden-Warren ticket the Democrats’ “Plan B”, should the Hillary Clinton campaign flounder. Biden’s suspicious moves might be due to unhopeful poll numbers for Hillary Clinton who stands to be his main rival should he run next year.
The Clinton campaign hasn’t been able to shake the fallout of an FBI investigation into whether classified emails were stored on her personal servers.
Citing people familiar with the matter, The Wall Street Journal reported Sunday evening that Biden is increasingly leaning toward running – if he can put together a competitive campaign.
She won the 2008 Democratic presidential primary in Ohio against Barack Obama, getting 54 percent of the vote. With Warren, the face of the populist left, at his side, Biden would likely cut deeply into Sanders’ support and possibly sideline the Vermont socialist entirely.
Despite many supporters rallying for Warren to run herself, the democratic senator has not indicated any intention of doing so.
“It’s rather early in the process and certainly if you want to consider President Obama’s presidential campaign, there are dangers associated with assuming the outcome of the race 15 months in advance”, Earnest concluded. The vice president is consulting with a close circle of longtime advisers, though there are said to be divisions within that group about whether he should run.
KARL: Just not his best decision. The vice president, however, has been a central figure in wide-ranging administration policies and has been the point person on everything from the economic stimulus to gun control legislation to Ukraine.

But Biden is still undecided, a spokeswoman said.
