Artist Rock Martinez continues work on a mural he is painting of musician Prince in Minneapolis, Saturday, April 23, 2016. “An announcement will be made at a future date for a musical celebration”. The music superstar was pronounced dead at his Paisley Park estate near Minneapolis on Thursday.

Outside Prince’s Paisley Park home, fans were given gifts as a thank you for their support and constant presence since the singer’s death.

Police are investigating whether foul play was involved after authorities said they had “no reason to believe” Prince killed himself and there were “no obvious signs of trauma” on his body.

While the place of the cremation was unclear, the private service appeared to take place at Paisley Park which was full of commotion on Saturday, with an AFP photographer counting around a dozen cars parked inside its gates in the suburb of Chanhassen.

The cause of Prince’s death remains a mystery.

The cause of his death is still unknown and the results of the autopsy could take up to a month.

Prince had been hospitalized a week earlier complaining of flu-like symptoms after his plane made an emergency landing on his way back from Atlanta where he performed what would be his final full-fledged concerts. Lars Larson, a 37-year-old Minneapolis man who had worked security for Prince and at Paisley Park events for about six years on and off, said he was at the same dance party. But no one could mistake his sound for anyone but Prince.A statement from the medical examiner said relevant information about Prince’s medical and social history will also be gathered as part of the death investigation.

Prince died on Thursday, April 21, reportedly from an accidental Percocet overdose.

The list of people who attended was not announced, but Prince’s sister Tyka Nelson and brother-in-law Maurice Phillips were seen on the grounds of Prince’s estate Paisley Park, as well as friends such as percussionist Sheila E. and bassist Larry Graham. His ashes were scattered in a private location.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Friday came out to “Let’s Go Crazy” on a campaign stop in Pennsylvania, calling Prince “extraordinary” and an “American original”.

Prince was slated to perform two shows earlier this week at the Fox Theatre in St. Louis but canceled last week because of health concerns.

The crooner who brought the world countless hits, such as “Purple Rain” and “When Doves Cry”, has died aged 57.
