Anna Semioli, 22, was struck just after midnight Friday while walking on Route 46 eastbound in Clifton near Valley Road, Clifton police said.

Through tears, Semioli’s older sister Gina pleaded for the person responsible to turn themselves in.

A family friend and a relative raised the $10,000, Gina said.

“Our thoughts are with Anna and her family during this very hard time”, the department said in a statement.

Based on her injuries, Semioli’s family said it was likely she was hit by a large vehicle such as sport-utility vehicle, and it should have significant damage. “She’ll be there for you for anything”.

Acquaintances stated that she was supposed to be meeting friends on campus on Thursday night, NBC Philadelphia reported.

A 22-year-old New Jersey college student is in a coma after she was struck in a mysterious hit-and-run that occurred a mile away from where she parked her auto and was meant to meet friends.

‘Number two is finding out who did this to her’.

Anyone with information about the accident can contact the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office at 862-849-6019.
